The most expensive scheduling mistake

How we work

Enrolment is the longest pole

Credentialing and payer enrolment take months, and practices consistently treat them as paperwork to start once a clinician has signed. The result is a provider seeing patients who cannot be billed, or claims held for weeks and then denied for dates of service before the effective date.

Starting early is most of the fix, and the rest is tracking. Each payer moves at its own pace and none of them chase themselves, so a weekly follow-up on every open application is the unglamorous work that turns six months into four.

On the clinic floor the pattern is similar: practices ask for more rooms when the real constraint is a template built on visit lengths nobody has measured since the practice opened. Sitting in a session for a day reveals it, and a description of the same day never will.

Our principles

Three beliefs behind the method

Start enrolment early

It is always the longest lead time.

Observe the real day

Descriptions of clinic are always tidier.
